Murphy Guest House Sign

In Bristol, Indiana, our 1875 Amish country inn reflects the romantic charm and character of the Victorian Era. Three beautifully appointed bedrooms are each lovingly named after one of our three granddaughters. All rooms have a private bath, luxurious beds and bedding, a sitting area and all overlook our ever-changing gardens.

At Murphy Guest House Bed and Breakfast, vacationers can expect days and nights of utter tranquility, the likes of which they have never experienced. That Victorian elegance will rub off on your hearts and minds. You’ll feel at peace, a welcome respite from the hectic world or, as one of our guests put it, “In a world where the little things have gone away, Ann makes sure she includes them. We felt like family.” With unbeatable guest rooms, service and dining, you won’t find a better Victorian bed and breakfast anywhere else in the country!

We feature two common rooms. One is our library that has cable TV, books to read, games to play and is a wonderful place to just converse with good friends. The second common room is our dining room where there's always hot water for tea and cookies on a platter for your enjoyment. High-speed wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access is available throughout this Victorian home for your convenience to help you stay connected. Murphy Guest House Bed and Breakfast deftly combines Victorian charm with modern convenience.

Delicious Breakfasts

In the mornings, you awaken to the aroma of a freshly brewed Murphy Guest House coffee and freshly baked scones. Our candlelight, gourmet breakfasts always feature our lavender bread with lemon curd and Devonshire cream. Breakfasts are served in our dining room where you can view the flower gardens and the birds, also eating their morning meal. We understand the importance of starting the day on the right foot.
