Bristol Opera House and Elkhart Civic Theater:

Bristol has been the home of the Elkhart Civic Theater for over 50 years. The Elkhart Civic Theater also owns and operates the Bristol Opera House. And between the two venues the Civic Theater has gained regional recognition as one of the best theaters in the midwest, producing shows like The Taming of the Shrew and Uncle Tom's Cabin. With such a commitment to the arts, you just never know what they might be planning next.

Amish Country:

Shipshewana, the heart of amish country, is located only a short drive from Bristol and is host to over 100 specialty shops. From arts and crafts, hand made furniture, antique shops, flea markets, horse and buggy/carriage rides, restaurants and tours. So we're fairly confident we can help support your shopping habit. The only question is, with so much to see and do, Can you keep up?

Regional Sporting Events:

Also in the greater region are homes to outstanding NCAA sporting venues at great universities like Notre Dame (25 minutes west) and local area golf courses. So bring your clubs or plan a trip to see the Irish take on a storied football rivalry like USC, Michigan, Purdue or Michigan State. Perhaps basketball drives your adrenalin fix. Then check out when Seton Hall, Georgetown or Syracuse might come to town for men's and women's hoops.

The Great Outdoors:

If outdoor adventure is what you seek, Bristol has a bit of that to offer you too! From some of the local county parks to area lakes including the St. Joe river and some local winery's in Michigan. So let us pack you a picnic basket to take on a canoe trip or a scenic hike through Bonneyville Mill. And if your visit brings you here in the winter months Bonneyville has wonderful cross country skiing trails and two sled riding hills. Or, if angling is your passion, bring your fishing tackle and take an early morning crack at the pan fish, bass or trout in one of our local lakes or river.

We offer some great bed and breakfast packages. So why not take advantage of one and let us help plan your stay? Looking for a romantic get-away? Try a rest and relaxation package.
